Trooper Station; Monday [04/16].
Rosa always had to hold her breath a little when she came into work after spending the weekend away, half afraid of what kind of nonsense she'd find waiting at her desk for her, but she figured whatever weird stuff went down over the last few days was still not going to beat the weird stuff that went down the weekend before. Still, she had no random children waiting for her in her apartment, and it appeared that there were no absurd reports waiting on her desk when she got into the station.
Huh.
...she almost didn't know what to do with herself now. But, hey, there was always Solitaire.

"Oh, fuck," she muttered to herself. Didn't they have other people working here too?
no subject
And how could Rosa respond to that with anything besides a confused, almost slightly offended look. Oh, fuck, like she had been the one to intrude on Seivarden's day, like this jackass hadn't been the one to waltz through the door, being all surprised that one of the only cops on the entire island might be, gasp, at the station, doing, the nerve of it all!, her job.
Well, kind of doing her job. It was a slow day.
"What?" she asked. "Are you lost or something?"
no subject
"My cat is stuck in a tree."
no subject
"Isn't that something firemen usually handle?"
no subject
"Firemen? There's no fire."
Rosa was probably just being lazy.

She was definitely just being lazy.
"And what do you mean with animal abuse? Last week you found it suspicious that children visited the flower shop. Are you bored of something?"
no subject
But she leaned to the side a little, to call out around Seivarden. "Hey, Ralph, we got a ladder back there somewhere? Make yourself useful. We've got a citizen in distress."
no subject
She would have been so happy if that had happened to her. What was wrong with Rosa?
Oh, and a ladder. "It's my cat," Seivarden clarified to the one called Ralph, and ignored Rosa's comment.

So she was a little suspicious. Sue her.
There was no arguing with crazy people, though, so she just sort of looked at Seivarden expectantly and nudged her toward the door with a cock of her head. "Well, go on," she said, "show him where to find this cat, unless you want to waste taxpayer's money having the poor dummy searching through every tree on the island."
Which, admittedly, she thought would be great, but between Ralph on a wild-cat-chase and getting Seivarden out of the station, she'd choose the latter any time.

She glanced at Rosa, almost smiling, then turned to Ralph.
"So," she said, the tone of her voice making it clear that she was used to getting the assistance she asked for. "She's in the park. Follow me."

It would probably be the copier later.
She shook her head, ignoring the glare she could feel Ralph giving her through his helmet (what? It was his job as a grunt; if Seivarden had come in demanding to know why the cat was in the tree, then, sure, she'd step in, but it would be a pretty open-and-shut case), returning to her game, failing to hide an almost-smile of her own.
But she had to admit, she was maybe a little bit excited to type of the report when the trooper got back, imagining he'd have a...few choice words to say in regards to the assignment.

Hopefully the helmet wouldn't scare her. Although, Seivarden thought, her smile widening a little as she left the station, Rosa might actually be scarier.
