From Quark's out across the island, Saturday night
Fandom had done alright dealing with the tremens one on one so far, poor folks who'd spent time in the clinic notwithstanding, but there was little preparing for the entire delirium spilling out of Quarks and into the streets.
It was like a swarm, or a stampede. The cold, soul-sucking wave scattered, seeking out any source of magic they could find, cocktail based or not, claws and teeth ready to injure even those whose life force they couldn't eat.
Folks not looking for a fight might want to try to stay in, tonight.
[you know the ocd drill by now. Open!]

Out and about
Re: Out and about
Especially since the whole "alcohol gives people superpowers" thing gave him a way to be out there doing something without actually announcing "oh hey guys I'm a mutant". He was still working up to that one.
Speaking of mutant powers... anyone who knew Bobby would naturally assume he'd go for a Mojito, all things considered. But nope. Mai Tai it was.
(He did have a Mojito mixed in a flask just in case the Mai Tai wore off before he was done looking for things to fight, though.)
"This is awesome," Bobby crowed, flinging a fireball at a lamppost.
Geez, Bobby, maybe wait for something to attack you, instead of going for the poor innocent lamppost?
Re: Out and about
The tremens certainly seemed to think it was cool. Or delicious, maybe.
It pounced at Bobby from the other side of the street, slavering.
Re: Out and about
He conjured up a few more fireballs, hurling them more or less in the general direction of the thing.
Look, he was still getting the hang of using fire rather than ice, so yeah, his aim wasn't the greatest. And maybe he really should have just stuck to what he knew, here, but where would the fun in that be?
Re: Out and about
The tremens dodged, darting at high speed around the fireball and the burnt lamp post before coming back at Bobby.
He was definitely going to want to work on that aim.
Re: Out and about
"Eat flames, ugly!" he crowed, flinging some more fireballs.
His one-liners also needed some work.
Re: Out and about
It was still circling around to come back at you again, though.
Re: Out and about
Probably less effective than the fireballs. Oops.
Re: Out and about
Mmm, chilly!
And kept coming.
Re: Out and about
These sorts of things were so much easier when you had a whole team to work with. He was so not cut out for the solo superhero gig.
Re: Out and about
But not yet stopped.
Re: Out and about
"Why won't you just dieeeee?" he wailed, hurling more fireballs at the thing.
He wondered if this was what it was like for Idie, using fire and ice together like this.
Re: Out and about
The tremens caught the next fireball on the shoulder, knocking it to the ground. Then one in the gut, followed quickly by one to the head.
The whole thing caught fire, then, emitting a noxious, black smoke and leaving a greasy streak behind on the ground.
