The Park, Thursday afternoon
Yes, Seivarden knew it was Thursday. Why couldn't Thursdays be just as good a day to go play in the park as Fridays?
Because Issa's best friend wasn't there. The cat looked up at Seivarden, letting out a very displeased miaow. She had been running around for a while when they got to the park, excited, trying to find Stance, and when she realized he wasn't there, she had given Seivarden an accusatory look. It was all her fault. Depending on how you looked at it, that was sort of true.
Seivarden sighed and took a seat on a bench. She poured herself some tea, while waiting for Issa to come out from under the large bush.

She hadn't found anything needing Crumbling in her whole time here yet, so she wasn't very optimistic.
But at least she saw a new familiar face in her stroll. "Hey, there, Captain," she said with a wave of her hand, "enjoying your day?"
no subject
"Apart from having a sulking cat hiding under a bush, yes." She looked at Amaya. At least she wore gloves.
"And you?"
no subject
Her eyes passed over toward the nearest bush, which she suspected might be the one hiding the feline. "Not a good day for the cat, then?" she asked. "What happened?"
no subject
She took a sip of her tea, thinking that she didn't mind waiting if she knew what she was waiting for. That was a little too personal to say out loud though.
"Nothing to build?"
no subject
But she did give the bush another glance, this one slightly frowning. "I thought cats and dogs didn't normally get along..."
no subject
"The day could be worse, I suppose. I don't have to put up with the dog's owner, and so far I don't have to deal with that Security officer about ladders."
Not that she generally had to deal with Kanan when they were both in the park. Their pets playing didn't mean they had to talk.

Even if that was...an...extreme use of her abilities, but it was something. She supposed she could even pull it off without even taking down the tree if she did it just right...
no subject
"Can't you use it to kill the things that invade now and then?"
Seivarden had a hard time picturing this Crumbler.

Cats always landed on their feet, too, right?
"And I don't particularly...like havin' to use her against living things, truth be told," she added. "I built her to help, not harm, but I guess if push came to shove, I might consider it. I imagine it'd be a nightmare trying to get all that gut and gore outta her gears, though..."
no subject
"I can see the issue with gut and gore," she said. "But I prefer to keep it away from my cat. She doesn't like noisy things anyway."
Seivarden was going to assume the Crumbler was noisy.
"I've had people tell me to get a hobby when I've complained that this place is boring."
no subject
"Maybe not, then," Amaya allowed. "And hobbies are a great thing. I know I just have a habit of turning all my hobbies into work, and right at this moment, all my work's on pause. I am takin' a class at the Community Center coming up, though, thought that looked kinda interestin'."
no subject
She paused. "Apart from my job. In the flower shop. Which class are you taking? I signed up for both of them."
Bored.

"I can watch entertainments from my world here, luckily, but I thought it might be fun to sign up anyway."
If not, she could always be snarky.
"I have to warn you though, entertainments here are really strange, and people get upset if you get the pronouns wrong."
Amaya deserved a warning.
no subject
"Strange how?" she wondered. "Most I've noticed so far is it's all just..." She waved a hand, "distraction, some of it educational, I guess. I'm mostly hoping to use it to understand this culture a little better, maybe get some ideas."

Spaceships.

"You have ships where you're from?" They didn't seem to have the technology for.... no wait. "On water?"
no subject
"Of course on water," she said, "where else?"
And then she remembered. "Ah, right," she added, snapping her fingers and pointing to the sky, "they got ships up there now, too."

Amaya was so far below uncivilized in so many way, but at least she wasn't rude and annoying. (And she wore gloves. And called Seivarden Captain).
"I've been on small boats on lakes, but that's all. The ship I commanded was a spaceship, yes."
