Was it inspiration from his class earlier that Sidon would be entertaining all the animals today (well, half; a good portion of them were more interested in things like food than theatrics, but some of them were quite literally a captive audience, and that helped balance the scales a little), or was it mere coincidence? He very likely would have spent his day retelling the oh-so-thrilling events of the race yesterday (made, admittedly, significantly more thrilling than they really were thanks to the sheer enthusiasm of the storyteller) anyway, but his class earlier had merely inspired him to really up his game and go for gusto, all sorts of sweeping arms and dramatic pauses and even a few different voices here and there, for completely made up dialogue that he imagined happened between various competitors and partners.

The animals were...not entirely impressed. Some of them started to doze off. There were a few that seemed to remain, captivated on every word, but at least two of them were actually just hoping that Sidon would reveal a treat or a toy in those wildly expressive hands.

He did, however, distribute plenty of treats afterwards, so everyone won in the end.
