The park, Tuesday evening
Today was (more or less) Peter's birthday. He'd noticed it on the calendar and thought about it, then...mostly just thought about it some more.
He had no idea how old he was objectively, Hell not exactly having calendars, and then there was the whole Julian/Gregorian thing, so he might be a few days off on the date, too, but...happy birthday to him?
He didn't much have a reason to celebrate it, but now he was in a decent place and getting himself back on an even keel, it seemed sort of the thing to do.
So, he grabbed some beers and sodas left over from class, picked up a bunch of cupcakes from J,GOB, texted the people he knew, and came to sit in the park with its greenery. It seemed like a decent way to spend the day.
[OOC: If you might have gotten a text, you did! If you didn't, feel free to wander by!]

And so, after his talk with Hannibal, he was making his way into the park, mostly just to hang out.
"Hey," he said, giving Peter a little wave of his hand and a grin. "Happy birthday, buddy."

"For what it's worth, it's more than I ever do for mine," Kanan replied, making his way over to grab a Coke. "So you've got me beat, there."
Birthdays were just not generally a big thing, for Jedi.

Kanan looked vaguely amused at that.
"By what calendar? On which planet? I've known twenty different calendars before ever coming to earth, and I haven't even bothered working out what my equivalent of 'January' is. But once I do I'll be sure to let you know."

"You at least have the benefit of being from this planet," Kanan offered. "I can't even really go by 'spring' or 'summer.' I couldn't even tell you what my homeworld was."

Since Peter owned the flower shop, giving flowers was out of the question.
Peter didn't drink tea, or anything else but Tru Blood, and the latter seemed like a strange gift.
Peter didn't care for pets, and Zack wouldn't have allowed Seivarden to get one as a gift, so a cat would could be a companion for Issa didn't work either.
In the end Seivarden had chosen a dozen of scented candles in different colours. That usually worked, didn't it?
She would also no talk to any of Peter's friends whom she didn't like. That wasn't a gift, but it would hopefully make everyone happier.

He wasn't sure how they'd work with gloves, but honestly he wasn't sure how a lot of foods did, so.

"Thank you, I do eat them," she said, smilling. She held out a nicely wrapped package. "This is for you."

He sniffed one candle curiously and smiled. "Thank you; these are nice." They weren't normally his kind of thing, but they were nice, and he appreciated the thought even more.

"I hope Issa won't decide to push them over," she said lightly.

Because cat.

Arlo 2, however, being far more sociable than her owner, kept pulling at the leash, wanting to go in for a closer look. And since Rosa felt so bad keeping her cute little ball of fur and energy cooped up so much, she sighed and just let it happen, figuring she owed it to her to let her at least get a few pets and try to mooch a cupcake or two.
"Alright, do your thing," she told Arlo 2 before they moseyed closer to the party. "Bonus treats at home if you pee on that one guy's leg."
Yeah, you know exactly which guy she was talking about.

Peter eyed the dog barreling for him and gave him and his owner a lopsided grin. "Hey there." He held his hand out for the dog and waved the woman at the food. "Want some cupcakes and something to drink?"

And there was a hand that needed smelling to distract her, anyway.
Rosa, meanwhile, eyed the spread, particularly the beers. Sure, she was going to go get beer, but there was never too much beer on a Tuesday, right?
"What's the occasion?" she asked.

Just saying. Birthday were pretty stupid.

Peter frowned at her. "I spent a thousand years in Hell, thanks. I think I'm entitled to celebrate being alive if I want to."

He was drinking Coke himself; he'd leave the beer for people it mattered for.

He took a cupcake and a Coke, more to be polite than anything - but also: cupcake. "Thanks! How's the day gone for you so far? Anyone tried to spank you yet?"
And yet, he didn't ask if that was a rude question.

"I live on a liquid diet," he explained carefully. "I have for a really long time."
