Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [02/15].5/31].
"And you see, my fine friends," Sidon announced brightly as he strode into the shelter for his usual Thursday shift, "I told you I would return!"
None of the animals doubted you for a second, Sidon. The fish had actually already forgotten.
But no matter! He went about the usual business of caring and feeding, cleaning and playing, with maybe some extra treats for the puppies for being such good sports in having their squishy puppy toes photographed for the eager hunters yesterday. And then he felt bad for showing favoritism, so the other animals got extra treats, too, and then the vet confiscated the extra treats because he was just going to spoil their appetites and screw up their diets, which meant that the vet got at least a few withering looks from not just the animals, but from Sidon as well.
