The Perk, Thursday morning
The staff at the Perk all groaned at Cristina as she came in. Cristina was unphased.
"Look, I'm giving you an opportunity to make up for that travesty you tried to serve me in the park yesterday," she said. "I'm doing you a favor."
And then she promptly tipped them all an almost obscene amount. You had to balance out your snark with cash if you didn't want bodily fluids in your coffee, after all. And doctors thrived on coffee. Even when they had almost nothing to do 90% of their time.
Cristina sipped her latte, made several approving noises to let the staff know they'd done good this time, and went to go find herself a seat and read some medical journals. Just because she was exiled to Magical Podunk, Maryland didn't mean she couldn't keep up with the latest research. She wanted to keep her mind sharp for when she eventually woke up from this coma, or whatever it was.

With the most sugary drink he could buy.
"Hail and well met," he said once he noticed Cristina.

"Um," said Cristina. "Hello."

"Don't I just." She sighed, set her journal aside, and looked up. "Hi, I'm the new doctor at the clinic."

If she wanted to dress pretty people, a tiny podunk town didn't seem like the most exciting place.

He chuckled softly. "The stitches are holding up well. I am grateful to have had such expert care. And you were correct to say that your stitches are quite excellent."

She was going to resort to practicing stitches on bananas soon.

This island didn't even have any cars. Even when there was nothing else going on in Seattle, she could usually count on at least one MVC to brighten things up.

"The tea is also unacceptable unless you argue with them," she said, loud enough to reach both Cristina and the staff.

What? She was hilarious.

"If hot bean water is what you try to order you deserve what you get."
She smiled. She could be funny too.

Because something called that could not be good. Not that she minded vanilla, or that she ever had tasted coffee, but Seivarden was prejudiced agains 'hot leaf water' people. Justifiably, she thought.
"Just don't let the staff her poison you, the medical care here is atrocious."

They still hadn't forgiven her for making fun of them for playing canasta. Which was absurd because come on. Canasta!
