The Perk- Sunday afternoon
It wasn't that Sabine was bored. She had plenty to paint- sometimes even with permission- and she'd given herself space for projects and training... People complained about boredom, but she was never at a loss for anything to do. She was restless, which was different, and felt like she was just trying to fill up her time here. So she was trying to refocus a little.
She'd gotten a drink at the Perk (which she'd gotten because she liked the look of it and promptly decided it was gross and she wasn't drinking any more) and had a seat by the window with a sketchbook, essentially drawing explosions. She was also adding notes on what she thought she'd need to actually get that for real, even though she didn't have nearly enough supplies for any of it right now and wouldn't set anything like it off in a town like this anyway. Still, it was fun to think about.
Look, you had your hobbies, she had hers.

"Tea, loose leaf, no milk. Try not to touch it."
She almost smiled, which made the barista look confused.

She took a sip, then headed for a table, walking past the colourful kid.

"They don't wear gloves."
She did, of course. Not her best ones, as she had been to the shooting range, but she liked this pair.

"Oh. So like a germ thing?"

"Propriety," she said, taking a sip form her tea. "Do you wear your because of germs?"
It was a strange reason, but better that than no gloves.

That rang a bell.

If things kept up at this rate, the town was going to be covered in her work before long.

"I'm sure it's appreciated."

Seivarden knew she shouldn't mock the child to her face. She made a gesture with her hand.
"I'm sure they do. I just don't often see kids with paint-stained gloves here."
