The C.I.C. - Weekend edition.
Feeling rebellious after successfully ditching half a week at the new school, Kaidan did what all teenage rebels do - he threw a rager.
For a definition of 'rager' that equaled 'bought a bunch of sodas, threw them in a cooler, set up a bunch of snacks in the big game room, and hoped people would come by'.
The raven had once again flown in like it owned the place, yelled at him for a few minutes, and took up its customary place on the front desk.
Kaidan had taken up position in the large game room, sprawled on the couch. Since nobody else was there yet, he fired up the Sims 3 and began working on some interpersonal relationships in his town.
Yes, the teenage boy was making couples 'WooHoo' until exhaustion.
Description of CIC here.
[ooc: Open, no OCD. If you've been invited, come on in. If you haven't been invited, come on in. Bored awkward teenager onboard.]

... Well, if you couldn't beat 'em, right?
Of course, he was two steps through the door and peering curiously at the raven, and already wondering if he was in the right place or not.
"Uh," he said to the bird. "Do you work here?"

Kaidan's laughter floated in from the back room.

"I was looking for... um." He gestured to the back room, where he'd heard the laughter coming from. "Him?"
... They had completely forgotten to exchange names. Which Caleb hadn't anticipated would leave him gesturing around vaguely, trying to explain himself to a bird in a video game place.
"Is it okay if I go in?"
no subject
"Oh come on!" Kaidan cried, incredulous.

The lightsaber would have been a bad idea.
But he smiled, anyway, and lowered his head in a slight, thankful bow, before making his way to the room where... other boy... was yelling? At something?
At least he knocked on the door instead of just walking in.

What? Conversations with sentient non-humans weren't that strange where he came from and Caleb could communicate with animals besides. It worked out.
"Next time I come back, I'll have to bring something shiny for him, though."
no subject
"I've got some gold coins. You wanna give it to him?"
no subject
"You don't mind parting with them?" Caleb blinked. "I mean, he would really like it."
no subject
"I've got a bunch. Like, way more than I'm used to."

Dear Eliot's player: I am so sorry.

“Um, hey?” he said, poking his head in to the game room.

Congratulations on being the first person Kaidan had a name for!
no subject
And there were snacks. Liam could hardly say no to snacks.
no subject
Of course there were snacks! Kaidan was highly food motivated even as an adult.

He saw the lights on in here and came in, curious. He eyed the bird. "Bien, salut." He smiled; it cocked its head at him and he returned the favor.

He shrugged and followed the voice down the hall. "Hello?"
