Demon Marcus, Sunday
Sparkle had considered not coming back to the island today.
Sparkle had, in fact, considered not coming back to the island ever.
Because Sparkle recognized that he was, apparently, a moron with zero impulse control, and he'd been flirting hard with a much younger version of Hannibal, and Sparkle would rather die than ever have to face that.
Sparkle also had plants to water and a business to run, and so Sparkle was here, at the Demon Marcus, hunkered behind the counter pretending to be very busy doing paperwork while in actuality mostly just doodling in the margins.
Whee.

Some of that glitter still stuck to her skin, actually. Other than that Seivarden was back to her usual self, only a little grumpier.

Sparkle, stop acting so cheeky.

"It sticks to everything."

She was just curious, obviously.

Poor Kanan.

Why the name change though? Of course, there had also been Emily Goldfinch, so maybe changing your name when you became an adult was normal in some places.
"At least the tea was good. Does anyone buy that glitter? Apart from me at age fifteen?"
Treating the past few days as some kind of joke might be the best solution.
no subject
Well. Except that she'd be twinkling for weeks.

"You must have been quite a sight. So how much effort did you have to put in not to laugh when you sold it to me?"

And thus far, it had not!

She made a gesture of her hand.
"Yes, I suppose it could be worse."

Today, he had an "Aaaahgod," a groan, and a moment taken to lean forward to rest his head against the counter.
Why didn't the island just let him die right now?

"Bof."
Blah.
He was fine except for how he was praying for a trap door.

Yes, he'd managed to work tea and rose into a meal that was also fish. Because he couldn't pass up a good pun in any language. But he was still here, feeding Sparkle as usual.

"Oh my god," he muttered into the countertop. "You're evil."
There was a pause.
"And that sounds really good."
Fucksakes.

He set a fork down by Sparkle's plate and poured him a glass of wine, then squeezed his shoulder. "You're fine. And don't worry, you haven't said or done anything that you shouldn't have."
no subject
Sparkle sighed as he sat up straight again.
"God, Wednesday was weird."
At least in part because Hannibal had been smokin' hot.

Because there were some points in his teenage life he'd really rather not re-tread. Ever.
