Groovy Tunes, Sunday
Jono was actually comparatively un-traumatized after this past several days spent as a teenager. Hell, if anything, it reminded him that he actually had come a long way since the angry teen who had first set foot in the Massachusetts Academy, and he'd mostly stuck to himself since Wednesday anyway.
All-in-all? No harm, no foul. Well played, Fandom.
That didn't stop him from putting Pearl Jam onto the stereo today to listen to while he worked.
... Really, he'd do that even if he hadn't been angry and eighteen again recently.

Now that he actually knew who Hannibal was, and why he was living in the fanciest house in town and all.

He tilted his head a little.
//How'd your past few days go?//

He leaned against the counter, one arm behind Jono to cradle him in a not-quite-hug. "Between that and your recent acquisition of memories, how are you settling in?"

He shrugged.
//I suppose it's just getting to be old hat at this point.//

//Got a hotel room,// Jono admitted, shrugging. //Just wanted to be alone. Had Joni with me, anyway, so it could've been worse, I suppose.//
The little kitten plodded across the floor to rub around Hannibal's ankles as if on cue.
//Could've just as easily attempted to camp out in th'basement, I suppose, though...//
... Yeah, teen Jono wouldn't have handled some of what was down there very well.

//Cats will be cats,// Jono replied, faintly amused. //I suppose if nothing else, at least we know that much will be a constant.//

Jono couldn't even begin to hide the little smile in his eye at that.
//Be nice if she was the one left on her toes for a change,// he mused. //Old bloke definitely deserves his chance at revenge, I wouldn't want the island to deny him that.//

//... How many more cats do you want in the house?//
Because come on, Hannibal. Jono had a big squishy soft spot for little girls. Even feline ones.

//Might be safer,// Jono muttered, shrugging.
Look, kittens.

//Nnoooo. Probably not.// He paused. //Maybe more fish.//
They were basically furniture anyway.

//Mm, and if they're too small, they may end up in Joni. I suppose I'll have to keep my eyes open for one that fits a nice, happy medium.//
Fish shopping was great.

//I've taught her well,// Jono teased, quite happy to settle back and watch the ensuing battle of cat vs. dangly thing. //Just be thankful cats don't wear pants, hm?//

//Being a cat, I imagine she'd feel rather the same.//
Lucky Joni.

Just because he didn't blame Jono for staying away from home, didn't mean he wasn't going to put in an effort to forestall bad habits arising from it.

//Music room sounds good,// Jono admitted. //Food is still giving me a bit of a 'rubbing it in' twinge I need to bite back again.//

//Noted,// Jono replied, nodding. //I'll be home the usual time, then.//
And not a moment before.

He checked his watch. "In which case, I should return home and start on dinner."
He kissed Jono's face and flames. "It will be good to have you back."
