Shooting Range, Tuesday morning
Seivarden was examining the guns, trying to decide which one to use and making sure they were well maintained. She had to make an effort to keep her eyes open.
Having agreed to meet up with Kanan at the shooting range might have been enough to make Seivarden sleep uneasily, but now Issa was missing since yesterday, and that hadn't made things better. That had made things a lot worse. Seivarden had kept listening for a paw scratching at the door, and had only drifted off into a light slumber in the early morning. On waking up, she found that the cat was still gone, and while she had considered cancelling this, she had decided that it might be taken the wrong way. So after a few cups of very strong tea, she was here, still sleepy, but a little shaky from too much caffeine.

First? A quick walk around the island with his eyes closed, reaching out through the Force for something very particular.
And then, of course, his appointment at the gun range. It was important that this part come in second. After all, part the first meant that he was showing up here with a cat in his arms, standing in the doorway and kind of yelling into the range.
"Hey, Seivarden? I probably shouldn't come in there at the moment, but you might want to come here for a few."

"Issa!" She reached out her hands to take the cat. "Where did you find her?" The worry was quickly dissolving, being replaced by the complicated feeling of being grateful towards someone whom she had put a lot of energy into disliking.

With a handful of dead mice and a stick. It was cute, if kind of gross.

"You must be hungry," she told the cat, then looked up at Kanan. "It was kind of you to look for her."
She meant it, but it still felt awkward to say.

"I was worried about her too," he admitted. "I couldn't manage it last night, but this morning it was the first thing on the to-do list."
He hadn't even had his caf yet. It was kind of tragic.

Anyway. Seivarden decided to try and not to think too much about it. Or feel. All this would be much easier if she had some kef.
Which obviously wasn't the same thing as caf, and if Seivarden had known Kanan had skipped that to go and look for her cat, she would have been even more confused.
"I owe you a cup of tea," she said, with a small laugh. It was a proper response, but it was also a real offer, should Kanan take her up on it.

His brains still wanted to fall out and ooze around after yesterday. He was just thankful that the range was fairly quiet at the moment.

She scratched Issa on her head.
"I don't think Issa would like the noise here anyway. The guns here are quite loud, son't you think?"

"I was yesterday, too. It's why I didn't set out looking for Issa right away." He shrugged. What do you do, right? "Actually, I was thinking of asking if we could take a raincheck on actual shooting today because of that. Head injuries and loud noises aren't my favorite combination ever."

She was being polite. He wasn't going to do anything to ruin that if he could.
"Tea sounds good. We can try again here in the range another time."

"Issa probably wants food too," Seivarden said, stroking her head. "Let's go home."
