Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [07/19].

When a particularly large lizard in a black 'Security' jacket started roaming up and down the shelter that afternoon, the vet on duty was almost certain that Sidon had to have something to do with it. But when she asked, Sidon just blinked, shrugged his shoulders, and admitted that he had never seen the guy before today. He rather liked the guy, though; he walked with such certainty and authority, and, after pointing that out, the vet's palm met her face.

"Of course," she murmured, "it's our new hall monitor."

A joke that was, alas, completely lost on poor Sidon.

Furnado is open!

Zack had invited him to come pet puppies at the shelter, and this was the kind of week where Kaidan could use some quality puppy time.

That..that was not Zack. Kaidan's brain took in the not-Zack person and filed it immediately under 'unknown alien species; likely sentient'. "Uh, hi," he began awkwardly, because: Kaidan, "Is Zack around?"

Definitely not Zack, but there was no denying a certain Zack-like energy in Sidon's response to a potential customer walking through the door. "Hello!" he greeted, opening his arms slightly, offering a slight bow. "And salutations! Welcome to Furndado Animal Shelter! But I am so sorry to inform you that, no, Zack is not currently present in the store. If you should need him, though, I can call him up quickly for you. He's usually quite responsive if needed."

And he had to chuckle a little, because how could he not be reminded of the Great Chicken Thief incident? Ahh, what a relief that Sparkle had since stay out of the shelter's coops since!

"Thanks, but no, I don't think I need him, anyway," Kaidan said, smiling a little at the being's enthusiasm. It definitely reminded him of Zack. "He'd offered to let me come in and play with the puppies, so I thought I'd take him up on it. Is that something I can do if he's not working?"

"Most undoubtedly!" said Sidon, grinning bright and wide and...toothy. Very, very toothy. "What a spectacular surprise for them, to have another person come and spend time and give them the pets that they love so dearly and deserve so much! Why, it'll help make up for the fact that I myself cannot pet them all day, no matter how much I should like to do so, because I still have all the other animals to help watch over and take care of."

Sidon was adorable. Even with the teeth. "It wouldn't be fair to the other animals to spend all day with just the puppies, no," Kaidan agreed, trying not to smile.

"Precisely!" said Sidon with a laugh. He didn't even bother trying not to smile, because that would be impossible. He beamed down at the fellow, figuring any friend of Zack's who liked puppies and appreciated equality among animals should certainly be a friend of his.

"I don't believe," he said, with an uptick in excitement in his voice (somehow managing to find more), "we've been properly introduced, so please, allow me." He placed a hand to his chest, offering another slight bow, before launching into his usual introduction, which was never, ever, ever got old. "I am Sidon!" Here, he pumped a fist across his chest, sharpened his grin just the right amount to allow the lighting to gleam off the end of one of his fangs. "The Zora prince! Who do I have the pleasure of speaking to on this fine puppy-filled day?"

"Kaidan Alenko," Kaidan grinned, "Nice to meet you, Sidon. I run the C.I.C, LAN cafe down on Godiva. I've never heard of the Zora; I don't think we have any where I'm from."

"I would suspect not," said Sidon, chuckling with an odd sense of pride. He even puffed out his chest a little as he declared, "We're a Hyrule original! At least, I can only assume so, as no one outside of my world has heard of us. But I suppose we're even, Kaidan Alenko, as I do not know what a LAN is, we don't have those where I am from, either! Is it like coffee or tea?"

Considering it was paired with cafe, it seemed the most logical step.
