There was a choir of tiny metallic birds in Groovy Tunes today. They were pretty, fragile-looking things, neatly attached to walls, ceiling, shelves and all other possible surfaces with glitter tape. It was truly marvelous, and Breq stood there, just looking, for quite some time. Knowing this island by now, it would all be gone by tomorrow, so she was going to spend the day just taking pleasure in being surrounded by a flock of tiny bird automata, and hoping someone would stop by today to see and hear it too.
