Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [09/20].
Sidon rather enjoyed having his shift at the shelter after his class with Zack, not only because he enjoyed helping out afterwards, but also because it usually meant that whatever precious little creature was featured for the week would be very tired and exhausted from their exciting adventure at the school and Sidon could focus on other things for the day.
This was not, it would seem, the case with the kittens.
If anything, the kittens were worse. They were already rambunctious around him thanks to the fact that half of them were under the impression that he was just a big, walking, talking pile of food, but they seemed all riled up as if the classroom had been filled with catnip. The store was a cacophony of meows and purrs and the sound of little paws and claws scrambling onto things that they shouldn't be, and Sidon tried his best to do his work, but it seemed the attention they got earlier that day only made them crave more, and, finally, after attempting to get his work done, he just sighed and gave up, took a seat on the ground, and let the kittens curl up into a pool of fur in his lap where they eventually fell asleep.
And there he was stuck for the rest of his shift.
But at least they were finally sleeping?
