Jughead was standing behind the counter at T&C, looking wary.
... Yes, for a specific reason, this time. To differentiate from all the other times he looked wary just because that was how his face happened to be. The cause of his wariness was that for the past half an hour or so, there had been a gremlin roaming around the store. And no, it did not seem to be fixing to jump anyone to bite them.
It looked like it was shopping.
Yeah. Complete with one of those kid-sized shopping carts. The sound of it coming from between the aisles was unnerving. At least if you were Jughead, who knew that in the unlikely event that the thing didn't just sneak up on him and bite him anyway, then he would actually have to get through ringing up the grocery shopping of a gremlin at some point in the near future.
Today could've been better for his nerves.
