That One Warehouse, Friday Afternoon
Class had been... good. Well. Kanan figured class had been good. Actually getting in and doing manual labor with solid, visual evidence of progress was one of his favorite things, was one of the few ways he'd managed to keep his head on straight in the time between the fall of the Order and his time spent on Fandom Island.
Progress was something he had to take wherever he could get it, after all.
Now he was working on that other thing he did on Fridays, making his way to the warehouse and igniting his lightsaber, working his way through his forms as he mulled over the few conversations he'd had this week since turning back from a Loth-cat. They'd been good talks, had also been talks with a promise of progress behind them, but both his conversation with Sabine and his conversation with Mitsutada had come with added responsibility, the possibility of pulling other people into trouble that they could just as easily avoid by staying here, staying out of it.
Step, parry, turn...
There was a lot to think about, when it came to the island, and to home. But even that was a sort of progress, wasn't it?
Huh.
[OOC: Open because Friday dammit, but probably SP for convention and tiny phone internets, dammit.]

Are you you again yet?

He'd really, really missed thumbs, Rey.
no subject
Since she had gotten a soggy cat selfie.
no subject
It had been a great time, except for all the getting wet.

Several people had dunked him. He was judging them all.

no subject
Yeah, it had definitely been one of those weeks.

Where there was a will...
no subject
It was a great visual, okay?
no subject
It had been kind of great. Except for all the being a wet cat immediately after.

Congratulations, Summer?

"Oh good. You're back to your ridiculously large feet instead of adorable little chicken feets," he commented, walking over to the practice swords.
Kaidan, maybe don't tease the guy with the lit lightsaber.

Were.
Past tense.
Take that, Jarrus.

"I don't know if I'd go that far," Kaidan laughed at him, "I mean, I still have my phone on me and I did warn you."
He slowly began working his way through the forms. "So, is the kitty one a video that needs to be sent to Summer? Or do you want me to hold off until Christmas?"
no subject
"Since when are you and Summer so close, anyway? Or is this just something that came up because you're both terrible people I happen to like anyway?"
There was some note of affectionate teasing hidden in there somewhere.

He worked a few more forms and then grinned, "Not saying we aren't plotting against you, mind. She is the one who asked me to dunk you."
Well, no. Not asked, so much.
no subject
Force save him if they started throwing ideas around again, though.
no subject
That he didn't miss, especially not at a range of like 10'.
"There was a new lady in one of the tanks. I didn't recognize her, do you know her?"
no subject
"Master Solo?"
They'd met a few times, sure.
no subject
She hadn't impressed him with her opening threat, no.
no subject
Honestly, he was just a Padawan. He barely got Jedi points, nevermind best ones.
