Caritas, Friday Evening
Today had been a very eventful day, what with escaping from the comfortable place and finding out that there were no getaway ships in the port, but Fjord wasn't so tired yet that he couldn't explore this newfound free run of the island he seemed to have, which meant, sooner or later, his little feet had brought him into the bar.
Tino had taken one look at him, handed him a bar rag, and directed him to behind the bar, informing him that he was late.
... Fjord had no idea what he was supposed to do back there, but he seemed pretty okay with this new situation once Tino showed him where the juice boxes were hiding.
[OOC: Tiny half-orc is in the bar! Open! Sorry it went up a bit late!]

A plan that was clearly flawed, which she wouldn't discover until she'd actually arrived, gave Tino a confused look at the lack of anyone big and green behind the bar, which then lead Tino to direct Amaya's attention to a bit behind and below the edge of the bar.
"Oh!" The first one, when Amaya peeked over the bar according to Tino's instructions, was one of surprise.
"...ohhhhhh." And the second was realization as she put a few things together in her head, alongside a few memories.
"Well, zards."
At least she wouldn't be awkwardly wandering into shops talking about needed a new flower for some awkward party this time.

He didn't know what a 'zards' was, but it didn't sound like it was a particularly thrilled word, after all.
"I was told to be back here," he said, a little defensively, in an accent that was lilting far more 'British' than his usual drawl. "I'm not breaking any rules, I swear."

She was going to plop down on a stool, though, turning her attention to the bartender who wasn't all small and green and talking all weirdly highfalutin all of a sudden.
"Help a girl out here, huh, Tino?"
A plea that went distinctly unanswered as Tino apparently had to turn away from her to clean that glass.
"Aw, c'mon!"
She did call his mother a gerbil, after all, and now those hens had come to roost.

Because that was the one drink supply that he could actually reach, here. And if his job was to serve drinks, he was going to darn well serve a drink. Especially if Tino wasn't.
Possibly just to spite Tino. The man was weird.

Not that she'd ever want to admit it, of course, but it was kind of hard not to smile a little at that.
And then she nodded. "Well, now, that's more like it," she said. "Good to know someone around here knows how to do his job."

"I'll do my best."

“Fjord, man, we gotta see about that ID bullsh —“ She paused and stared at him. “You shrunk. What happened?”

"I did not shrink," he protested in an accent that was... maybe not his usual accent, no. "I'm taller than I ever was."

"This is what I get for thinking last week was too normal, isn't it?" she grumbled. "Now you're all tiny and --"
Huh. He didn't usually have tusks, did he? She'd have to ask him about that at some point.
"You sound different than I'm used to," she added. "That's, uh. Interesting."
no subject
At least she wasn't asking him about the tusks now.

Don't confuse the tiny half-orc child even more, Beauregard.

"Not every half-orc is the same person," he argued.
Yeah, little buddy. Not every half-orc had jewel-tone skin in multiple hues, either. You were kind of distinctive.
