Covent Garden Flowers - Sunday
Once again gripped by the feeling he had somewhere to be, Leto wandered around the small area of the city he'd explored. He came to a stop by a flower shop. His hands went immediately onto his hips and he gave it a challenging look.
"Really?! You think I haven't heard every elf-and-plants joke there is? Why am I here, why do you want me to go inside?"
The door didn't answer.
Green eyes narrowed. He pressed his face to the glass and looked around. Nobody inside. An oh-so-casual glance up and down the street. No witnesses.
Out came the wires and then there was the tiniest of scoffs at how easy this lock was to pick.
Leto went inside and looked around. The plants were nice. Even the ones that didn't look expensive were still nice and looked healthy. He'd never admit he could tell the difference, but that was more from watching his mother and sister fret over their Master's flowers than from any mystical Elf mumbo-jumbo.
A tiny grey kitten came zooming out from the back and climbed him like he was a tree. The tiny little piton claws barely touched him and the next thing he knew, the kitten was in his ear with a buzzing little purr that tickled.
Leto squirmed and giggled helplessly for a moment. He gathered the kitten up in his hands so he could look at it. It.. it was kitten-shaped but something was off about it. Leto promptly decided he didn't care. "Do you live here? Are you why I'm here? Maybe.. maybe I was sent to rescue you!"
Leto, that spoiled, happy kittenwillow is in zero need of rescue.
Which even he had to acknowledge. He looked around. "Maybe rescue you from boredom. C'mon, kitty, let's find something to play with."
Tickles squirmed to escape the hands and paraded himself back up the arm to his usual perch on the shoulder with another happy kitten buzz.
"Hey!" Leto giggled, "That tickles!"

Tickles was perfectly happy to receive the attention.

"It's my House!" Seivarden looked horrified. "We're not servants! And only uncivilized people have slaves."

She looked at the other child. "Why do you have pointy ears?"

Leto wasn't really one to talk at the moment. His own hair was kind of everywhere, it was just far less neatly arranged than Seivarden's.

"Do you always work here?"

He gave Seivarden a short, sharp look, "Since somebody didn't show up yesterday to feed it."

Leto.. that would be you, buddy.
"And if they don't show up either then I'm taking the kitty with me when I go," he pronounced firmly.

This kid was stupid.
"You just wanted to steal a kitten, didn't you?"

A little smugly, he said, "Besides. He's sitting on my shoulder. That makes him my responsibility."

She stepped closer, holding out her arms to grab Tickles.

Tickles.. did not have a gender. Tickles was a plant.

She tried reaching for the kitten again.

Definite emphasis on the 'he'.

To emphasise this she tried to push Leto again.

"So? You would've if you'd shown up, but you didn't and today, I'm here so he's my responsibility. You're stupid and don't know anything!"
no subject
"You're an uncivilised nobody!"
She wasn't allowed to call people uncivilised to their face.
