Astrid has easily paid off the damages to the window by now, at least that's what Summer told her, though she sort of felt that maybe she felt a little bad about the girl's continued indentured servitude, but, honestly, Astrid sort of enjoyed working at the store. It gave her something to do, at any rate, other than just sitting around and filling up too many sketchbooks. So she asked if she could stay on as a regular employee, she'd done a good job so far so it wasn't a hard bargain to push, and there she was, back at it again for another week.

Although, really, she wasn't getting a whole lot of work done, having brought in with her another book from her mother's reading list, one that made her kind of miss living in Paris, which was a little weird, she knew that, really, but she'd be available for interruptions if anyone actually came in and needed help. Which was generally unlikely. Or maybe if anyone just wanted to stop in and chat, which was even more unlikely, really.
