The Onsen, Wednesday afternoon
There were some pesky plants around, and after spending most of the day trying to stop Issa from chasing them (who knew if they were poisonous) while trying to watch an entertainment, Seivarden had decided to go to the Onsen. This was a perfect day for a bath, and when she entered, she had the pool all to herself. Slipping into the water, she closed her eyes, ignoring the plants hanging from the ceiling.

She added, trying not to look at water running down Fjord's chest.
"Thank you."

"I'm doing this just as much for my sake as yours," he replied. "I'm not in much of a mood to be pushed around by plants today."

"Well, hell, they're determined little fuckers today," he muttered. "Need a little help getting out of that...?"
no subject
Internally she was swearing, because it wasn't like she wanted plants to make her enact something resembling sexual fantasies.

He wasn't keeping an eye on the stuff that was getting dangerously close to creeping its way around his ankle, mind.
no subject
The mistletoe, probably wanting to encourage this, wrapped itself around the two of them.
no subject
No kidding, Fjord.

Seivarden left the tearing at the plants to Fjord, trying to think about how awkward this was rather than how nice it was to be pressed against his chest, and trying not to run her hands around his back.
"I mean, we could just kiss. It would solve the problem."
no subject
Said slowly, while Fjord quietly processed the fact that it didn't seem terribly as though Seivarden was doing much resisting at all.

Seivarden was a bit to distracted to consider that perhaps it would be more efficient if they both tried to pull loose too. Instead she gave in to the urge to wrap her arms around Fjord's neck.
no subject
Well, no. Not confused. Startled, most definitely, blinking at Seivarden with wide eyes. This was very much the opposite of trying not to get pushed around by mistletoe, after all, and was not exactly helping in his efforts to free them, here.
"I can still call my sword," he offered, though a solid tug on his wrist meant that his arms were around her waist and there was really nowhere for his sword to go. "I... could still call my sword."
Not so much, now.
"So... you're petitioning for efficiency, I take it."
no subject
Besides, he was an uncivilized person with claws. And sadly oh so distracting.

He wasn't a bad kisser, necessarily, but he was definitely a startled kisser, and a relatively inexperienced one. So, while Seivarden seemed to be aiming to make the most of this, it was about all Fjord could manage to not make the worst of it.
He was so fucking confused.

Looking at Fjord with a tiny smirk, she said: "They'll leave us alone now as far as I understand."
The best way to deal with this sort of thing was definitely to pretend it wasn't awkward at all.
no subject
Totally casual. Really.
"Ah, well... good. That was good... thinking."
Fjord, meanwhile, hadn't done a hell of a lot of thinking at all. He took a step back. And then another. And then ever so carefully sank back down to sit, once again calling his sword to hand with a splash of seawater as he went.
Well. That wasn't going to happen again if he had any say in it.

He exhaled. Relaxed a bit.
"Interesting strangeness for the day."
no subject
She did her best to seem relaxed and unbothered.
no subject
He shot some lingering mistletoe a warning look. It backed away slightly.

Seivarden did her best not to think about how it would feel to have those claws run across her skin. Being pressed against Fjord's chest had been... pleasant. She had more or less given up on trying to find it disturbing to think about.
"At least for a while," she said lightly
no subject
Relax with a sword in his hand. Totally normal thing to do. He exhaled a sigh, sank back in the water a little more, and leaned his head back. All the better for unwittingly showing off his strong jaw and the way his muscles shifted in his shoulders as he rested his elbows up on the edge of the bath.
no subject
"Sounds like a good plan," she said, trying not to think of other good ways of relaxing.
