Luke's, Tuesday
Mitsutada had recovered from his bought of festive transformation and had spent the weekend moving out of his school office and otheriwse formalizing that paperwork.
Which meant he was now just sitting at Luke's, feeling ho-hum about no longer being a teacher. He was normally not one to brood, but it did feel a little like a failure.
Today's Specials
North Polish Sausage
Venison
Spicy Santa Sushi
Look, Mitsutada wasn't even paying attention to what they did on the specials board, today.
Luke's was open!

She compensated today, and as she anyway needed to get out of the apartment and get something to eat, she went to the place that had both decent food and decent tea. She entered Luke's and was met by a group of singing gremlins.
"Fuck off! Go sing somewhere else you... you... fucking gremlins!"

Seivarden wasn't really sure what to say to that.

She made a face.
"That was the worst thing about that chocolate yesterday. No tea."

Look at him, actually being a restaurant employee.

Seivarden found a seat.
"What's Spicy Santa Sushi? Sushi is usually good."

"Shrimp tempura and cucumber inside, topped with crunchy crab meat, scallions, masago, and a special sauce," Mitsutada explained. "Though the special sauce is just eel sauce and spice mayo."

She leaned back in her chair.
"You've been inviting your friends, right?"

"The gloves," she asked. "Is wearing them customary where you're from too?"
no subject
For... reasons.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is the benefit?"
She was genuinely curious.

He tapped a finger against his eyepatch.
"I never lost it. This body simply never had it."

...actually, it was an honest question at the Citadel, too.

"She's a cat," she said. "I mean, not a talking cat. A normal cat. Although she's special of course. To me."
