It had been a week of mountains and valleys for Astrid, the dull ache for California beginning to fade but still clinging tight to her heart, but dance class had been a surprising break in her inspirational block. She had the spark of an idea, sat on it through art class, and then pulled out her sketchbook today to work on developing that idea in between customers.
There were probably other things that needed doing, but she didn't want to lose the first big flash of desire to create and not just idly sketch things simply to have something for her hands to do that she'd had since she got back. And maybe, just maybe, after the weekend, if she managed to get something done about that wall, she'd feel a little better about the fact that she hadn't pushed harder to stay at home instead of returning.
