Blackstone Foundry and Forge, Wednesday
Happy Wednesday, right? Fjord was in a pretty decent mood as he walked into the forge today, and started casting around for work to do while he waited on Amaya to set him loose on some manner of project for the day.
The winner was daggers to be sharpened. For an island where he'd seen relatively few people actually wielding daggers (and what would they use them against anyhow?), there always seemed to be a startling number of blunt knives waiting for the stone in this place.
He was choosing to blame the island for that one. But hell, at least that meant he was basically a professional when it came to sharpening things by now.
Learning. Wasn't it great?
[OOC: Open!]

He glanced toward the pile.
"Not sure if you were feeling industrious and left the finishing work for me, or if the island is trying to make up for all the candy and tree branches through December."

And she really had tried to think of something.
"Sorry 'bout that."

He was going to take this opportunity to fill his face with coffee, either way.

...it was a few days later.
"Then I'll have something to look forward to seeing when I get back," she said, nodding her approval.

"Hopefully I'll have made some good headway by then," Fjord agreed. I'll probably have a few things set aside waiting for your input on where to put them by then, at the very least."

Ahhh, wonderful, sleep-chasing, idea-bouncing coffee. She was just going to enjoy it for a moment before digging in with the, "So how's your class going? Haven't asked much yet, figured it was better to let it simmer and get some subtance before I started poking my nose into it."

People didn't often give kobolds that much benefit of the doubt, back home. But then, Keyleth seemed to be a bit more open-minded than most, back home.

Those were only in a different Seirra game.

Because it was really the best description he could come up with, honestly.

"Yeah, nothing quite like that back where I'm from," she said. "Not around the parts I've been to. I'm sure a couple of those goblins like to think they're dragons, but they're just puny little nuiscances that don't know what's good for them! Not a whole lot of reasoning there; how'd it work out for them?"

So, that was a definite step in the right direction, if you asked him.
"And your class? Or should I wait until after today's to ask about that, give you the same number of lessons under your belt first?"

Honestly, if Beaker managed to survive last semester, she was pretty sure she could rest easy with a solid continued survival rate.
Though she would admit, class felt significantly less...thrilling without him there.

He was clearly joking, there.
