Hernando had a plan. He was wearing a jacket with a hood and inside the hood was a small squirrel wearing a hat with a tiny little 'PRESS' badge.

He went to Dite's and paused inside the door to look around with a smile. This should do nicely. A small walk took him to the counter. "Hello. Would you perhaps be able to help me with some purchases? They may be special orders."

What was that? A reason to put down her taxes customer? Wonderful! Kathy set aside her paperwork and smiled up at Hernando. "Sure, absolutely!" she said. "Dite's has a lot of stock, both here and on our website, and anything we don't have, I can order for you. Are you looking for something specific? Or are you not sure yet?"

Hernando smiled back at her. "Nothing terribly specific. I was hoping for condoms or toys that involve glitter. I'm not certain such things exist due to perhaps some friction issues but if they do I would be interested in purchasing some. Or perhaps glittery edible body paint?"

The tiny squirrel was writing all this down and making adorable little churbling noises.

Kathy immediately had some ideas but first -

"Do you want some help luring that squirrel away?" she asked, already reaching for the bottle of rum she kept under the counter for just this type of thing. "Dite's takes its customers' privacy very seriously."

She chuckled. "I was just wondering how I was going to be able to explain how 'alcohol' counted as a 'business expense' on my taxes."

Hernando shook his head and his smile grew a little. "Oh no. Please don't chase him away. I invited him most specifically and asked that he take very accurate notes." He knew who did the radio tomorrow.

That was, after all, part of the plan.

Kathy shrugged. "If you're sure," she said, because it was his privacy after all. "Though, uhh, maybe if the offer could be mentioned, too? Because I'd prefer it if the store didn't get a reputation for sharing these kinds of details on the regular."

Not that she had much walk-in traffic anyway, but still. She didn't need reasons to make it even less.

To the squirrel, she added, "And no reporting on anyone else you see in here, got me? Your agreement is with this genteperson only."

The tiny squirrel stood up and nobly doffed his hat. Holding it over his heart, he began solemnly chittering something that might have been his word not to follow other people in and an offer to make sure people knew that squirrels did not generally follow people in but he had been specifically invited.

"I am not certain the details will be shared other than with Sparkle, who does the radio tomorrow," Hernando reassured her, "and he is the person I very much wish to be made party to this shopping and perhaps purchase."

"Ah, Sparks," Kathy said, smiling. "Things are making a lot more sense now. And that's why you're looking for sparkly items? Hmmm." She took a moment to think. "I don't think I know of any glittery condoms off the top of my head, but I know of at least one brand of shimmery lube and any number of toys. Might as well snag the one she knew they had in stock, first and foremost. She snagged a basket on the way and offered it to him, since he was apparently looking to make multiple purchases. "Okay, so here's what we have for lube, but again, more glimmery than sparkly. It's sugar-free, but you may still wanna test it for irritants before using fully."

Probably stuff that he already knew, but it was her job to educate, so...

Yeah. Even as little as she'd seen of Eddie, she just couldn't bring herself to think of him as 'mister.' There was something too disaster-y relaxed about him.
