Whatever was going on with the Squishy machine earlier in the week was thankfully fixed, and Astrid, with the glow of the successful party fading a little. That, paired with the stretch of time that existed between letters from her mother, had her a bit more quiet and introspective today, though no less inspired, distracted as she was by a new piece that had her painting away in a watercolor sketchbook in between customers. Mostly tarot-inspired things, things reflective of some of the ways her readings had gone, with a bit of a surrealist bent to them.

She'd stop and take a break for customers, of course, or if there was anything Apu needed her to do, but everything seemed pretty quiet and dull and there was no harm in just letting her work on her art to help pass the time.

Especially since she'd asked Apu if he wanted his fortune read with the tarot cards and he very politely declined.
