Luke's, Sunday
So, Kanan had been informed yesterday by Kaidan that he had a job. Which... was not the kind of job he anticipated having, considering he'd also been told he was a Jedi, but a responsibility was a responsibility, right?
... He also had short hair. And he'd shaved. Because he'd woken up yesterday to a shoulder-length mop and a beard that had made him squint at himself in the mirror wondering what in the world was wrong with him, and while Kaidan had mentioned that there were hair ties somewhere around the apartment, he figured he could probably do something about the whole mess of it in the time before he needed to be at the diner.
Doing what, he wasn't sure exactly. But when he got there, the rest of the staff didn't seem terribly certain, either. Except for the one who had claimed a place in the kitchen as the cook, and even he didn't actually know much besides that he was a cook who worked in a diner, so...
Kanan shrugged at the rest of the staff. The staff shrugged back. And then he settled behind the counter, because that seemed right enough, right?
Welcome to Luke's!
Today's Specials:
Try us! Maybe we'll know how to cook it!
Kanan eyed the specials board for a minute, frowning thoughtfully. Something seemed off about that, but he couldn't put a finger on exactly what...
Ah well.
[OOC: Because short-hair-mid-twenties-Kanan was made canon and Filoni drew the image in this icon once. Had to happen eventually. If probably temporarily.]

She walked in the door and took one look at him and exploded into noise.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO YOUR ENTIRE HEAD, KANAN CONSTANTINOPLE JARRUS?!"
no subject
First, of course, was, 'This must be Jack.'
The second... he didn't even really get, except that some errant musing in his mind offered up an, 'Oh, are we at 'C' already?'
"... Cut my hair. Shaved my face. All that hair was in the way."
And now he looked fifteen again.

She pointed at the coffee pot, "Coffee. This requires lots of coffee."

He was going to try to strangle his Caleb side in effigy on Monday, just see if he didn't.
"Or hoods."
Funny he hadn't found any cloaks in his clothing, though.
no subject
She squinted at his head and sighed, "You cut it yourself, didn't you?"

And, well, despite the temptation, he finally decided that he couldn't actually just spend the foreseeable future in the house he'd woken up in having crazy sex with two extremely pretty people, and if he wanted to figure out what was actually going on, he was going to need to go out and explore a little.
He'd found a menu for this place on the fridge during a food break, so he figured it would be a decent place to start.
"Huh. Nice place." When he'd seen the list of diner food on the menu, he'd pictured some place seedier. Or possibly 50s themed.

Himself included. Clearly.

"Myself and my Captain, as well," he confirmed, words softened slightly by the faintest lingering hint of a
BritishCoruscanti accent that Kanan most days managed successfully to chase away entirely. "It's not everybody - a friend stopped by and at least managed to tell Hera and I our names - but it does seem to be a lot of people."no subject
"So . . . what, are we all part of some giant experiment or something?"
Man, this had been way more fun when they just pretended they were in a porn.

Still, she had stuff to report when she saw Wes through the window, so she entered the diner to join him.
"There are giant buffaloes in the woods!"
...someone had been wandering alot.
no subject
Okay, but seriously, how did he know that was weird for buffalo but not who he was?

Besides, it made for an excellent handhold.
"Didn't feel like cookin' today?" he asked. He'd spent the day trying to mess around with the electronics and getting stymied by passwords. Apparently, no one in the house was a password1 kind of person.
no subject
Oh, but that had been an amazing distraction.

She set Lexi's carrier on top of the counter and blinked. "Hi."

He didn't have to glance at the specials board to refresh his memory, that was just your imagination, honest.
"Can I get anything for you to start, or would you like a minute with the menu first?"
He was so cheerful, Kitty. So cheerful. You know. On top of the rest of it.

He loved babies.
"Awww, hiiii," he said, making faces and waving at the infant in the carrier. "How are you, baby-face, huh? How are you?"
no subject
"And now you're her favorite," Kitty smiled.
no subject
He had literally no idea.
