Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [03/14].

Well. Sidon certainly had his work cut out for him at the shelter today. The place had an influx of new rats, it would seem, which was, of course, hardly a problem. The more, the merrier, really, though he'd much rather see many of these animals off to loving homes, and he had no particular problem with rats. For the most part. These rats, however, seemed very intent on making the most out of the planks they'd set up on the edges of all the fishtanks, the planks they were constantly trying to goad kittens off of with their tiny little scimitars and swords.

So a good portion of Sidon's day was spent saving kittens from rodent pirates, who were all very swoony about the whole thing (except the few who, as one might expect, just turned around and tried to eat him; having their lives in peril apparently made them quite ravenous).

And then the rats decided to turn on the source of all their difficulties, swarming around Sidon and poking at his ankles with their tiny weapons to try to get him to walk the plank.

"I daresay," he commented, once they returned after his last attempt to put them all aside in a cage somewhere, which they naturally just broke right out of, "what exactly are you trying to accomplish here? None of those planks are even remotely large enough to withstand my size and bulk, and what do you expect to happen to me even if they could? That I should drown? Get eaten by the goldfish? I truly admire your tenacity, my friends, as well as your very charming and roguish sense of fashion, but I do believe you could have thought this mutiny out a little better."

The pi-rats didn't seem to care; they were mostly just having fun, at this point, trying to hassle the giant shark person around.

Furnado is open!
