The Rooftops of Fandom, Sunday Night
It was far from the first time there'd been a Bat on the rooftops of Fandom, but this particular incarnation of Batgirl wouldn't know that unless she'd taken the time to dig through the radio archives, and that hadn't been high on her priority list.
She might have had that information, if her communications link to Oracle wasn't still dead, but nope, it was pure radio silence from Barbara's end. It was a bit like flying blind, if she was honest, and kind of lonely without Oracle's voice coming through the earpiece in her cowl.
Regardless, here she was, out on patrol -- which was mostly because she didn't know what to do with herself other than patrol, because the other option was to stress out over when she'd be able to make it home and whether Babs or Dick or Tim were worried about her. (Damian wasn't, she'd put money on that.)
"Eight on the dot, and there's a whole lot of nothing going on," she said out loud. No sarcastic reply from Oracle, of course, but hey, it was habit.
