"Hi...everybody." Peter smiled and waved at those who'd shown up. "Sorry about last week. I promised a nautical movie instead today; this one is supposed to be pretty good, so I hope you all enjoy it. If not, please let me know. I've got another one on standby just in case. If you haven't been here before, the snacks are for everyone." There wasn't any alcohol today; sorry, adults. Peter was playing it safe.
"Anyway, enjoy! And if you have any thoughts for summer movies, please let me know."

Arrive/Mingle
Re: Arrive/Mingle
But, either way, she'd hate to miss movie night and it was a good way to distract the kids from killing each other, so she and her little impossible tagalongs were there, and she was trying to decide whether it was easier to just deal with them pelting popcorn at each other or if she should try and stop them.
At least it was popcorn and not throwing knives, so she was just going to let them have at it and then make them clean it up afterwards before they left.

...
Did not actually feel better about sticking around once he realized his apparent future son was also present, but he still made an effort to smile awkwardly at the kids and Amaya, and to nod a polite hello. That was the done thing, right?
He was so awful at this.

Fjord stared down at Kia. And then reached a hand down to... awkwardly pat her head? Was that what you did with kids?
"Uh. Hi."
Help.

Djodge wasn't going to go so far as to start clinging to Fjord's legs or anything (although he definitely was a little distracted because hello, there, little green hopefully-not-annoying other half-sister?), but he was pretty excited to see him. These girls were driving him crazy.
"Guess what! I went and showed Zephyr that tree Mom told me about that you went and threw the giant shuriken into, and she was real impressed by it!"
"No, I wasn't!" Zephyr chimed in, sing-song, from across the room, where she was planning on aiming her next volley of popcorn missiles straight at the half-orc's head.
"Don't listen to her," Djodge said, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. "Mom says we don't have to listen to her."
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Even your mom was impressed by that throw," Fjord noted, smirking faintly. "Once-in-a-lifetime shot, that was."
Or one in twenty. Not that Fjord would know that one.

She slid a slightly envious gaze his way. "Now, don't tell me you've been spared, though!"

And hey, a nautical theme? That was promising.
Right?
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Peter had no idea what sorts of movies were good for kids.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Why would it be too much for 'em?"
No. Really. He had no damn clue.

Watch the movie
Re: Watch the movie
There were boats! And sailing! And he didn't want to miss a second of it!
"Ugh, boats are booooorrrrring!" Zephyr whined, crossing her arms and pouting, slumping into her chair and glowering petulantly at the screen. "I want something with dragons! And knights!"
"You're boring!" Djodge countered, turning his head to stick a tongue out at her, which earned him a glare and a very rude, unladylike gesture, which earned them both a threat from Amaya that if they wanted to keep their tongues in their heads and their fingers on their hands, they better stop that, shut up, and just watch the movie.
Which placated them well enough. For the time being.
