Town Hall, Thursday Morning

"Can anybody tell me anything more about what's going on here?"

Tamsin didn't just call town hall meetings twice in a row for fun, you know. ... Okay, maybe a little. Just to watch the anti-social ones scramble. Whatever. She crossed her arms, surveying the crowd.

"Anyone from the recon team? Anyone who's been sticking their faces in books for the past few days? What are these things, what's happening with the bitey, and who do we need to punch to get out of this mess?" Beat. "Chop chop."

... It was bound to be another informative meeting.

Just as she'd said on the radio, Summer headed on over to the town hall after her broadcast, definitely ready to get involved, get her hands a little dirty, and...be a little dramatic, too, because, duh. She didn't spend most of yesterday filling up a gym bag with wooden stakes to not throw it (unzipped, of course, so some of them clattered out for effect) pointedly to the ground with a gesture of invite for anyone who might want to have at it.

She shrugged. "I figured it wouldn't hurt," she offered. "These did the trick pretty well when my last school was taken over by vampires."

And, yes, she knew everyone had fancy weapons and she had her own fancy-ass blaster on her hip right now, but, come on. You just couldn't do vampire stuff without stakes, right? Right? Don't ruin this for her.

Look, she'd found something she thought worked, and she was sticking to it.

"Truuuuuue," Summer allowed, eyeing little StickyFingers McMeowface with a faint smirk, "but you can stab stuff with them after they've been kneecapped. It never hurts to diversify in situations like this, I've found."

Beau was still a little bruised and sore from last night's rooftop encounter, but that actually had her in a pretty good mood today.

And okay, not going to lie, Mayor McHotness was also a highlight here.

She had a small knife in her hand and was busy whittling the ends of her staff into points as she waited, because you bet your ass she was going to be in on this.

"The ones in charge have eyes like mine, at least at first," Ghanima spoke-up. "Though I promise you, they are not from my world."

"The eyes go yellow when you injure them, the blood is black, and when you finally finish one, it goes to ash and the feral ones simply...stop. They collapse, and eventually come back to themselves. Find their master, kill it, and you've found a solution."

"I love it when the answer is 'kill things'," she said.

"It takes a lot of constant damage, and they heal very quickly," Ghanima warned. "We had to essentially vivisect her to start, I attempted to carve out her heart, Miguel cut her throat, and then I had to almost completely sever her head from her body."

"The one we killed thought we were 'fresh meat,' so she couldn't have been around long enough to understand actual threats when she encountered them. An older one may be more difficult."

Peter nodded at Ghanima. "That's the best way to handle the actual vampires." He was scowling at the thought of them. They gave bloodsuckers a bad name.

"It's not the only way to help the ones that've been bitten, though." He held up a piece of paper he and John had taken notes on. "There's a mix - garlic, colloidal silver, and water, in specific proportions. If you can get one of the feral ones to drink it, they'll turn back to human. I doubt it'd be practical to just spray them down and hope to get it in their mouths, but it should help our own, at least."

Tamsin waved at the crowd. "We know things!" she yelled. "Killing the big, bad ones with the blue eyes should fix this whole entire problem!"

A beat.

"So if you're into that, come line up over there," she said, waving in one direction. "If you're not, and you don't want to wait, apparently a hit of colloidal silver and garlic will clear that whole feral problem up." She crossed her arms. "Feel lucky we got the stupid vampires this time."

It was kind of the one thing he did well.
