Out and about around town, Monday
"OH MY GOD!!!!"
There were actual for real goddamn dinosaurs on the island.
"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!"
Mae had noticed the extra vegetation when she set out on her usual circuit around town, but it had taken her a couple blocks before she noticed that the vegetation had come with actual for real GODDAMN DINOSAURS. So now her usual circuit was being modified to include running over, down, along, and up every single thing she could find, be it building, power line, or brontosaurus tail.
"THEY TRIED TO TELL ME YOU WEREN'T EVEN A THING!" she told the small bronto in the park. "You are not just a thing, YOU ARE A SLIDE!"
This was the most amazing day of her entire life. She was about 90% sure she was actually hallucinating the whole thing, or had possibly gotten trapped in her own holosuite and gotten, like, a concussion or something and forgot about it. Or maybe was just dreaming.
She did not care.
She was reasonably certain that baby bronto in the park was the greatest thing she had ever seen in her entire life, at least right up until she went running along the edge of the preserve and met something that looked like an elephant had had sex with a rhino and then their offspring made it with a goddamn giraffe just for kicks.
"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
She would be perfectly happy right now to never return to reality again.
