Kanan's Warehouse, Friday Morning and Afternoon
Kanan wasn't going to be getting much done by way of meditating this week, no. But it was Friday, and Friday was 'at the warehouse' day. Well, 'at the warehouse or at the park' day, but he'd much prefer to throw down against giant scorpions than risk igniting his lightsaber anywhere remotely near that bomb, and so that was what he was doing.
Throwing down.
Against giant scorpions.
It made for great training, anyway. And the alternative, to attempt to connect to them through the Force and ask them to play nicely, had mostly just resulted in amused scorpions trying to kill the little meaty thing, so they'd really sort of brought this upon themselves anyway.

Well, she probably wouldn't be disappointed, then! Not when the first sound to be heard as Kanan answered his phone was the sound of his lightsaber being shut off as he parked himself up in the rafters of his warehouse, peering down at a small gathering of radscorpions below.
"Rey! Hey there!"
He sounded like he'd been enjoying himself far too much.

"What are you doing?" she asked, cautiously.
no subject
"Trying to clear the giant scorpions out of my warehouse," Kanan offered.
And paused.
"Well, no, right now I'm up in the rafters where they can't reach," he amended, "so you don't have to worry about me being distracted or anything."
Distracted from the conversation, not from the fight, it should be noted.

"Because this week, apparently we've gone to some irradiated wasteland," Kanan offered. "The deer look more like nerf right now, too, only they have extra heads. It's... an experience."
At least Stance had stayed the same?

"I'll admit I'm not exactly a fan, myself," Kanan noted. "It's hard to find a bright side to this one, and I've been trying."
He... was going to just not mention the bomb in the park.

She kind of came from one, after all.

Lucky for Breq, he was! He was there, lightsaber out, carving down the last of the scorpions, at least for the time being. They never seemed to stay gone for long, it felt like. Before long, another would dig its way out from the ground. But, for the time being, there...
... Was an armadillo?
"Uh." Kanan glanced at the little roly-poly critter and blinked. "... Breq?"

Kanan watched this for a moment, still somewhat bemused, but mostly he was just keeping an eye out, in case anything decided it was going to come up out of the floor to grab her.
"Have a good trip in? That, uh, had to be quite the journey, at your size," he noted.
no subject
This was communicated by a sniffle.
no subject
"Well, it's good to see that you made it in one piece," Kanan noted. "It's not a trip I'd recommend for most people, really."
Especially tiny, potentially edible ones.
no subject
"I didn't expect to do this here," she said, pushing herself to her feet, and hoping Kanan wasn't to bothered by nudity.
no subject
Kanan... was more or less fine with it, though the momentary shock of a sudden, non-armadillo-shaped Breq there on the floor in front of him was enough to have him burying his face in his hand for a moment.
Ah, Fandom.
"Here, I'll..." He looked around. Right. Nuclear wasteland, looted-out warehouse, there wasn't so much as a drop-cloth to be seen, here. "... Let you wear my shirt until you get back to the Ghost and get your own clothes on. It should be plenty long enough on you."
He wasn't missing a beat before he started removing his armor to allow for this, no.

So, she bisected one last radscorpion, then ducked into the warehouse, looking around and then up for Kanan and waving.
no subject
And, uh, no shirt. Or armor.
It had been a weird day.
"Lana," he greeted. "Uh. Good day for... scorpions."
Weird, weird kriffing day.
no subject
She put away her lightsaber and leapt up to join Kanan. "I take it you're up here for a reason?"
no subject
And his shirt.
no subject
It had to be asked.
no subject
Look, Kanan would sooner let the Emperor himself perform root canal on him than talk about ending up with Breq, naked on his warehouse floor.
...
Mostly.
"It was sacrificed for the greater good. Someone turned back after an animal transformation and I wasn't going to make anybody go back home through town Naked.

Lana paused. "Would you like my cape? It's at least got armored shoulders."
And they were small by Sith standards! Barely stuck out at all!
no subject
With armored shoulders, and all.
"You know, I..." He hummed a little. "Actually, yes. Please. Nobody should be wandering around out there without some sort of cover, I'd rather avoid being a walking buffet for those damn flies."
