Caritas; Wednesday [07/17].
Wednesdays had been a pretty chill shift, really, which Summer appreciated, especially since running the store and trying to build up a ship from scraps was a lot of work, and then there was teaching...well, okay, maybe not teaching, she was definitely just winging that and it was hardly any work at all and she looked forward to it with a manic sort of glee, but...bartending on Wednesdays was definitely her most chill job right now now, and she was appreciating the heck out of it, though she couldn't get her mind off that dumb panda.
So in her downtime, she was scribbling at a little of ways to get rid of said panda, and eventually, she got to something at the bottom of the list that kept jumping out at her as the obvious, easiest, and most reasonable approach:
'Just leave it for the next person.'
Which, right now, was Apu, who had been so blase about the whole thing that Summer wasn't really feeling too bad about dumping the whole store on him again once she took off for space. But, ultimately, that was it, wasn't it? It wasn't going to be here problem anymore, and it wasn't going to be her problem sooner than she was entirely ready for it, but there it was. She just had to put up with it for a little bit, and then...that was it. Leave it for the next person to deal with.
And that was...oddly freeing, in a way. But she was still going to keep adding things 'cheese-baited bear traps' and 'force him to watch videos about the exploitive practices of commercial dairy operations' to the list. Look. Wednesdays were pretty slow, and it beat paying attention to whatever the hell it was Tino was getting himself into tonight, she could tell you that much.

"I'm so fucking glad to be rid of those monsters. I need a drink."
This week seemed more or less normal.
[I'm guessing SP, but I couldn't resist.]

She might need one herself, actually, considering she felt almost kind of glad to see Seivarden walk in, but, come on, she was the closest thing Summer had to a regular, and even though she'd have preferred her regular to be someone else, it was still kind of a cool having one.
"Just the usual beer tonight, Seivarden?" she ventured. "Or are you finally feeling adventurous?"
[[ lol, I am so sorry, Thursday was totally a time-suck and brain-drain for me XD ]]

Or did it have to be jello shots?
[We all have those days.]

"So, how's your week without monsters?"

"You know," said Summer, after getting the drink and setting it in front of Seivarden, on a coaster, leaning a little on the bar after she did, "we have a signature cocktail that's pretty much just that," she nodded her head toward the drink, "with a few less ice cubs and some Coke added, right?"
Yes, she knew who it was named for.

"But, hey," she said, her tone going a little more encouraging, "baby steps.
"And my week without monsters has been a week with bears instead," she offered. "Word of advice: if you're looking to get any cheese from Turtle & Canary, you're way better off just calling it in and having it delivered, trust me on that."
