Luke's, Sunday
Kanan was worried. Well. In the few moments edgewise where Kanan actually got to be Kanan, Kanan was worried. He kept checking his phone hoping that maybe Rey had just gotten sidetracked on Friday and couldn't call because someone was paying close attention or something, but still, no word.
Was it too early to start making daring rescue plans? Hell, he didn't even know which version of his reality she was in, never mind what year, all he knew was 'Jakku,' and 'future,' because she'd always turned down offers of care packages. He'd never gotten an... address or anything...
He frowned at his phone and fired off a text.
Starting to worry, do you need someone to get you out of there? Text me when you can.
And then sighed and settled behind the counter, wondering if there was some way he could reverse-engineer the data on his phone to pinpoint exactly where and when her last calls had come from...
In the kitchen, the staff acted out a spaghetti western. Using actual spaghetti.
Kanan ignored them. Didn't even check to see if the specials board had pancakes on it, today.
(It did.)

Although now she was just thinking of what sort of rant her grampa might find himself going off on for something like Life Day, and now she was definitely sending home Life Day Cards once she got out there.
"She'll be a real big hit."
The soft, disgruntled 'mrow' murmured into Summer's shoulder, however, did not seem to agree.

Because there would be at least a few who might try.
Gungans, for example.

"Don't give me that look," she added. "Remember, you chose this.
"....I'll make a sign, maybe," she decided.

A beat.
"Speaking of, pancakes and a milkshake?"
no subject
"Pancakes, yes, obviously, but a milkshake? BDG. You feeling okay? You know I'm lactose intolerant!"
Maybe he was Evil!BDG or something and was just trying to kill her.
She figured he'd at least have opposite facial hair, if that were the case. Or, somehow, miraculously, worse...
She shuddered at the mere thought.

"And a... dairy-free smoothie?"
Look, this week existed apparently entirely to mess with his head. Just like all the other weeks. He was willing to roll with it.
