Shunsui was not having a great day. What had started out as a routine drop into the store just so that he could say he had done it turned into a whole ordeal because apparently Summer-chan had left without doing the orders on Monday, probably assuming that Shunsui should do them, which, really, was a very bold assumption on her part, if you asked him, and so he tried to convinced Apu-san that he should do the orders. After all, he knew the store better than anyone, while Shunsui'd only just gotten back and who even knows how much the system had changed since the last time he was here? They were already a day late, better just have someone capable taking care of it rather than having him muck around trying to figure it out...

Apu-san wasn't having any of it, though, insisting that it was the owner's job, and that meant his job, and he was going to have to learn eventually, which just sort of made Shunsui narrow his eyes and wonder how he could have let himself forget how stubborn Apu-san could be and just settled things with a little withering, "Do we really even need all that much, anyway?"

So it might be a few slim weeks for the shelves of Turtle & Canary. But Shunsui did agree to at least put in an order for glitter and a few other things, because even he knew what was up with the start of the the fall semester right around the corner.

So the whole being away for more than a week?

Yeah, that meant, if nothing else, she needed to buy a few boxes of granola bars. Groceries were... still... not her forte and never were going to be.

But, hey, that didn't matter when you were likely to die young and beautiful, right?

"Yo!" she called cheerfully as she wandered on in.

Shunsui had been pouting longingly at Apu-san from across the store after another failed attempt to bribe the man with promises of sake and a potential raise when Iris breezed in, and, just like that, his day got significantly better. After all, who wouldn't be immediately cheered by the prospect to shift one's attention from such a dour and miserable fellow to someone who was so young and beautiful?

"Ah ♥!" he said, straightening up from his slouch on the counter with a bright, though somewhat lazy smile. "Hello, there ♥! Welcome to Turtle & Canary ♥! How may we be of service today ♥?"

See, it didn't feel like work when there were beautiful women involved!

And when he was pretty sure most of this job was basically just directing people to various aisles still.
