Radio had told Hannibal two things: that the current bout of insanity seemed to be over, and that last week had been traumatizing. So, he was back in his office today, waiting for the inevitable lack of people admitting they were traumatized.

And still working on the financial and legal complications that were living in a dimension he had never been born in. Fortunately, it wasn't the strangest thing Jono's world had seen.

"I'd come bearin' food but let's be real, anythin' I'd cook would be a travesty to you and I ain't 'bout to buy you Mooby's," Iris said cheerfully, hanging in the doorway. "But fancy coffee? I got one of those with your name on it!"

Hannibal chuckled. "No Mooby's, please, but I rarely mind coffee." He stood and gestured her in. "Hello, Iris, how have you been?"

[intraspective]

"Just got back from spendin' a week at home," she said happily as came in, offering him the coffee. It was definitely, definitely not Perk coffee, since that did not fall under the fancy label ever. "So from what radio were tellin' me, I'm doin' better than basically anyone else."

Sure, home meant she was off killing people or spying or doing worse but, like, Iris was made for that.

"How're you?"

Hannibal took the coffee with a gracious nod. "Thank you. I'm well. I was in Jono's world until Sunday, and then I found I couldn't travel here, so I've had the week off. Which is just as well, from what I've heard. How is your home?"
