The Park, Friday Afternoon
It wasn't a bad day today to be in the park. It was a cloudy day, maybe, but not bad. They grey of the sky made the greens all seem to stand out in stark relief, and the blue glow of Kanan's lightsaber was like an electric streak as he worked his way through Ataru forms he'd learned in his youth. It was more aggressive than his usual Soresu by a long shot, yes, but it was something he'd been letting slip in a bad way, more confident and comfortable in the patterns he'd run again and again with his Master during the war.
Still, even a Jedi running forms that had begun to grow rust on them would likely present quite an impressive sight to those not well-versed in them, particularly once he started pushing himself into slightly more advanced steps, throwing quick strikes in succession and putting the Force behind the leaps and flips that no average human could manage.
... Occasionally just to avoid a milling group of ducks, granted. These things sometimes happened.
[OOC: Open park, open post! Mmm delicious Friday.]

The whole class might've made more sense if he'd explained that up-front.

But they did get to play silly-old-bear-sticks. So.

Silent Hill and Rapture both had been... rough... for a Jedi.

Not all the Dark power in the world made up for that.

And the imminent collapse of the infrastructure wasn't even his biggest concern, there.
"The smoky one did me no favors."
Didn't really do anybody any favors.

Still...
"I won't even tempt fate by considering the ways it could've been worse. I got a front-row seat to a great example of that, anyway."

Then she struck out with her saber, because it seemed like a good opportunity.

At least there was the upside to running through Ataru forms, he supposed. He was already primed for it. He smiled lopsidedly as he raised his lightsaber again.
"You weren't missing out."
