Treating one's self to the utmost capacity of his ability had left the last few days feeling like a wonderful blur to Shunsui, who breezed into the shop that day fully convinced that today was in fact Wednesday, the usual day he would treat himself to a behind-the-counter nap.
It was, of course, not Wednesday, and Apu (who was actually himself this week, as if the island had passed him over on this particular week as a way to sort of save his surprisingly still in-tact sanity) wasn't sure if he should bother correcting Shunsui on that, or just wallow in his disappointment that his not showing up yesterday didn't mean he was actually gone.
