Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday
Seivarden was going to assume that the birds in the shop were the ones Keyleth had received by mistake yesterday. That was why she spent the morning yelling at people on the phone and sending angry emails, because apparently she would have to wait until Monday.
"Aatr's tits, what am I going to do with them until then?"
The birds themselves didn't seem bothered, and they were quite decorative perched on a branch in a small citrus tree.
Added to this, she received a few pictures to her phone that were more enjoyable but also more distracting, involving naked hands. At least she had a shop full of suitable motifs to send som in return.
And she had tea, obviously. That tea set really was an improvement.

Whatever. Lucifer was bored.
He opened up the door and slunk inside, grinning broadly. "You were not joking about the birds," he mused. "Inconvenient."

Seivarden grinned at Lucifer as she got to her feet.
"And what are you doing here?"
no subject
He approached her with a grin.

Seivarden leaned in to kiss Lucifer.
"I still have to finish my tea."
no subject
"Well, I suppose it's important that you hydrate," he said.

She nodded towards the table.
"It would be terribly rude not to."
no subject
"I suppose being rude might ruin my evening plans," he said, pulling away so he could head towards that table. "Why this one?"
no subject
She gestured for Lucifer to take a seat and reached for the tea pot, when one of the birds suddenly landed on her shoulder.
"No, go away!"
Seivarden tried to push it off.

"They're surprisingly social."
She pulled her chair close to the one she had offered to Lucifer and reached for the tea pot again.

Another bird was now drinking from the fountain, and she frowned at it.
"Enough about the birds though."
She poured tea for them both, put down the pot and leaned in to give Lucifer an intense kiss, now that they had tea.
no subject
"Well," he said. "Someone's certainly tempted."
no subject
She assumed people making out in a shop didn't encourage customers to enter.

The word might not have quite the same connotation to a Radchaai, but still.
"Ruining the reputation of my shop."
That didn't stop her from keeping kissing.

She laughed. "Not having to bribe the squirrels makes it easier to improvise."

She ran a gloved hand through his hair.
"I don't really care. I've had worse things said about me."
Seivarden kissed him again, a distraction for how it felt to be appreciated without reservation even if she wouldn't admit that.

His fingers slid under her shirt for a moment, but no more than that.

"Tease."
She carefully moved his hand away. There were some limits, they were adults after all, even if she felt she was increasingly behaving like some silly baby Lieutenant.

Seivarden grinned, reaching for her cup.
