Back at the bar today, where Kitty was behind the bar with a set of little cards.

"I have recipes," Kitty said, waving said cards in her hand. "Today we're going to be learning some drinks from the days of yore. Meaning they were popular before and fell out of fashion, and we're doing this because some of them are coming back into style, so now's as good a time as any to try them out. So we're going to pick some recipes from the cards, and see what we can do with them."

Miguel squinted at the list. "Are uncooked egg whites safe in this time and place?" He could never remember.

"Should be fine," Kitty said. "It might be a different story if you're chugging a gallon of it, but this shouldn't hurt."

"Oh, it'd be fine for me; I just meant in general," Miguel clarified. He checked the ingredients and set about making one. "I don't think there's an anti-poisoning class being offered."
