Somewhere Along the Beach, Thursday Afternoon

Oh, Yasha was not a fan of this week.

It had been bad enough on Monday when everything had all been a vague not-quite-articulate sense that sort of made the back of her neck. It was worse on Tuesday, when she started to figure out exactly why she had that itchy feeling, and mildly horrifying yesterday when her thoughts had developed a tendency to drift in a very specific direction.

So now, today, she was both incredibly frustrated by the things she was thinking about a certain smartass monk and absolutely guilt-ridden by the fact that she was thinking them at all, not to mention having some very vivid memories about Zuala that were compounding the discomfort and the guilt of the whole situation, and she would've loved to solve all of those problems like she tended to, which was to say by running away from them.

So she'd tried to do exactly that, only to reach the far end of the causeway and not be able to go a step further. Several attempts met with the same non-result until finally after the fourth time she bumped into an invisible wall and thought she saw a warning flash of lightning off in the distance, she decided to take it as a sign and give up on that brilliant idea.

Which was how she'd ended up here, sitting atop a large rock on a solitary stretch of the beach and looking off across the water to where a storm seemed to be brewing. She hoped, anyway.

"There is something you need me to go and do for you, isn't there?" she asked, almost pleading, as she looked up into the clouds. "There has to be. Anything? Somewhere else? I'll do it, right now, I'll go, just …"

No glimpse of lightning from those distant clouds, though, and no sign of rain.

Yasha sighed and let her head drop forward, then cupped both hands over the back of her neck. Maybe at least the cool breeze and the bracing scent of the ocean air would help a little bit. Maybe.

[OOC: But the post is totally open, though. :D I've been wanting to do this to the poor girl all week. On a Thursday, even. God, I'm the worst.]
