Outside Clothes Before Bros, Monday Afternoon
It was one of those fairly rare days (at least recently speaking) where Octavia didn't feel like spending time in the preserve or staying cooped up in the apartment. So even though she'd gone for her usual patrol early in the morning, after a pit stop back at MCA for something to eat, she'd ended up back outside.
The idea had been to head down to the docks, maybe drop in on Duke and Larceny if they were home. But she wasn't in a rush, and so her walk was more of a meander along the streets of Fandom. She didn't generally tend to go down Godiva Street at all, but today she did.
And that was how she ended up standing outside Clothes Before Bros right now. Looking at the clothes on display in the window. Maybe wondering what she'd look like in any of them. At least until she caught her own reflection in the glass. All practical and dark and tough, and, right. She just wasn't the kind of person to wear those clothes.
Octavia snorted, softly.
Still, she couldn't help but linger and look for a while longer.
[ooc: Open street, open post!]

... he'd promised Seivarden a shopping trip for the upcoming vacation. He was here to inspect the options before he bothered to waste time on the island.
He didn't necessarily have to announce his abrupt arrival with judginess, but then again, why not?

"Clothes are the same every year," she said, only a little dryly, as she glanced back at him.

It was very expressive for something so minimal.

"I'm not," she said, once her face had smoothed itself out again. "I'm just passing by."
Sort of.

"I'm not going in," she drawled, "so it still counts."

Her tone sounded... sigh-y, for want of a better word.

Or what reminded her of the ground. Same thing, really.

Actually, she didn't want to think about that too closely. So:
"... Much younger."

He held it up.
"There she is," he said, grinning broadly.

Maze was also very pretty, but Octavia wasn't really the type to say that sort of thing out loud.
no subject
Look, he and Mazikeen might have grown apart, but he was still proud of her. She was his Maze.
no subject
Look, what else was her take supposed to be?

"I'm not even surprised you know that."

Okay, with the confidence part of it, probably. Just not with staying upright.

No, she went dancing, or left people voicemails that revealed secret nicknames. Both of which were actually very interesting for some people.

Of course, he'd only been here for a few months now.
no subject
"No, I just don't try to learn to walk in heels."
Let's be real: she probably would, if the opportunity presented itself at the right time.
no subject
Then again, the chance of that ending in an actual blood pact was high.
no subject
"Why, so she can teach me sober?"

No, all of it sounded tempting. She just wasnt quite that honest.
(Even to herself.)

Besides, Octavia could probably use some getting flirted with by someone on her level.

She made a vaguely amused noise.
While snapping a quick pic of the dress in the window on her phone.

Lucifer watched her do that, and laughed.
"I thought you weren't interested in dresses?"
no subject
"Sometimes I just like taking photos of things I see."
Mostly so she could text them to someone else later, preferably with as little context as possible.
