Caritas | Friday

"A ceilidh?! An' ah wasnae invited?!"

Cait Sith surveyed the remnants of what had obviously been a pretty good party for a long moment before he shrugged, already over it.

"Ah, weel, cannae attend them aw, ah suppose! An' ye! Ye!" he hollered, spotting Tino. "Ye gie tae clean aw ay thes up! As punishment fur missin' lest week!"

He would have made Tino clean it all up anyway.

But it was a good excuse!

Caritas is Open!

Having a good chunk of days (including your own bar night) just go completely missing was definitely throwing Summer off a little, and a drink seemed like just the sort of thing to try to get things a little bit more on track.

"Hey, Cait!" she beamed a greeting at her new favorite co-worker (don't be too flattered, the competition wasn't all that stiff) as she leaned forward on the bar a little. "Got a weird challenge for my drink tonight, if you think you're up to it."

Okay, and maybe she really enjoyed his particular Random-Throw-Shit-In-A-Cup-On-A-Loose-Theme style of bartending so far, too.

"I need you to make me a drink," said Summer, lowering her voice in a conspiratorial tone that didn't match the amused smirk on her face, "that embodies the very essence of having three days go completely missing."

A bit of a jump, considering criteria thus far had been colors, but she did say it was a challenge!

That middle-to-last part got a little bit of a confused squint out of Summer, who felt she understood the tone if not the exact meaning, but the first part seemed the important one, anyway.

"It did," she said, sighing slightly, but it wasn't very put-upon, sort of an accepting sigh, and she shook her head. "Woke up thinking it was Tuesday, only to be intercepted by the squirrels and being told I was late for my radio. Which, sure, the squirrels could have been pulling my leg, I guess, but then I'm sure I'd have run into Kitty. Both here and at the station. So I guess it really is Friday."

"Things like days and weeks and months are mostly made up, anyway," said Summer with a shrug. "So you might not be wrong. And, in the grand scheme of time and space, it doesn't really matter, but I do feel bad for ditching my class and my bar shift, even if they weren't intentionally ditched."
