Caritas; Wednesday [04/15].
Due to various circumstances well beyond her control, Summer hadn't actually been able to make it in for her bar shift for a few weeks now, something that Tino apparently had no intention of letting her forget, listing off all the ways in which she could pay him back for covering her ass, even though Summer was pretty sure being the fall guy was pretty much just his job description.
Not that she was paying any attention to these grievances or anything, anyway. She just went and made a deal with the zombie band that she'd promote their album a little on her Insta if they just managed to hike up the volume particularly loud whenever Tino tried to talk to her.
It worked like a charm, and it didn't take Tino long to figure out what was up, so Summer was feeling pretty good about that...until now she realized that Tino was just glaring at her every chance he got and was probably plotting his revenge.
Whatever. Bring it on, bar boy.
Wednesday Jello Shot Special!
~~French 75~~
She figured, after the weekend, it would be nice to class it up a little around here.
Caritas is open!

That's why Seivarden showed up at all, doing her best to look quite as usual, and mostly succeeding.

It all sort of depended on how Seivarden did handle it from here, she figured, although things were looking to be in favor of the former, since ignoring it was kind of what Summer would rather do, too. But it was hard to just turn down that sort of goldmine.
It was a really, really tough decision!
"Seivarden," she said, smiling sweetly through the revulsion that had been a near-constant whenever she actually thought about things. "Your usual?"

"Just try it," said Summer, who was setting one down in front of Seivarden along with her heavily-poured whiskey, because she was going to do that anyway whether she'd asked about the jello anyway. "And tell me what you think."
Just look how fancy it was this week, too, Seivarden! If she wound up disparaging these ones, too, Summer decided that she would Officially Done.
With what, exactly? She didn't know. But it would be official.

"If I didn't know better I'd say it was a dessert. How do you even drink that?"
no subject
"She asks," she said, "as if she hasn't had a million jello shots already, some of them at an alarmingly quick pace. You drink it the same way you drink all the other ones, Seivarden; just open up and down the hatch."
There was...a pause.
"Maybe take off the berries, and definitely the little lemon peel squiggle. That's just there to make them look fancy."
Which she was very proud of, thank you.

She put another berry in her mouth.

"Hurt," she answered, without a trace of sincerity in it, despite the small, injured pout. "That you would think I would just let one of my best customers choke on one of my signature jello shots. That would be terrible for business.
"And how are you?"
no subject
She put another berry in her mouth.
"Not to bad, I suppose," She said, more sincerely.

She put the last last of the berries, pushed away the lemon peel and downed the jello shot. It was followed by the whiskey.
"Should we agree never to discuss last weekend?"
no subject
"By even asking that question," she finally stated, "you've already discussed it about a million times more than I was ever, ever hoping to."
Unless, of course, a good opportunity to really annoy Seivarden by bringing it up managed to present itself, in which case, she was not going to shut up about it.
Context, people! Context!

Seivarden felt she had the upper hand now.

"...yeah," said Summer, after a moment, emphasizing the obviousness of it. "I sort of figured we were in agreement on that by, you know, not discussing it."
And so, as possibly a way to either distract Seivarden or give her something else to talk about or just something else to do with her mouth than talking about not talking about it, she just went and set down another jello shot.

"I need another whisky after that."

This time she sipped her drink.

Hi, Summer!
Nina burst through the doors, easily drowning out the zombie band, and beamed sunnily at Summer.
"Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
This was not, like, a serious life-or-death thing here, let's be clear.

"I'm not agreeing to anything," she noted, "without more deets."
But, let's be honest, she would still agree to almost anything anyway.
"What's up, Nina?"
