Devil's Nest, Tuesday Evening
It had been over a week since anyone had actually seen Octavia. In that time, Lucifer had done up entirely too much restless energy, some that even sex with a set of lovely baristas on the mainland hadn't managed to settle.
So he was back in the club on his regular Tuesday night, a glass of scotch resting on the piano.
No microphone tonight. Just a lot of audible venting through the piano.

"Pour me the strongest goddamn thing you've got," he said to Tiny. "I want to be able to mistake it for rubbing alcohol."
He'd had a very long day.

Either way, that vodka got slapped down in front of Duke real fast.

He let out a gagging cough after swallowing, and set the glass firmly back down on the bar.
"Perfect," he choked out. "Thanks."

"I didn't realize we'd hit anti-freeze emergency yet," he commented.

"Yeah, well. Spent some time tonight tied to a cop. Maybe if I drink enough I'll forget all about it by morning."

"Right, make it a double," he told Tiny, and settled at the bar. "I am so sorry."

"Right," he said. "I don't know what happened, but you clearly need a break from--" He waved his glass at Duke.
Maybe just to indicate the tired moping... everything.

He was mortified now as well as miserable. He'd nearly gotten taken in by a cult.
