Shunsui was assumingly in a good mood from having engaged in the best sort of Wednesday shenanigans participation, which was to say none at all, when he came into the shop that afternoon, and he was looking forward to an afternoon of not getting much of anything done at all. Apu-san seemed to have a slightly different idea, though, approaching Shunsui against his better judgement with a clipboard in hand, but every time he went to actually say something to Shunsui, Shunsui just lifted his brows, lifted a finger, opened his own mouth as if to say something, and then dropped everything and moved to a different spot in the store. Apu-san tried again; Shunsui did the same thing. Again. And again. Until, finally, once Shunsui saw the weight of defeat pushing on the other man's shoulders, he allowed Apu-san to speak, and what he said was decidedly not what was originally intended.

"Just wait," Apu murmured, "to pass it on to Summer?"

And Shunsui's smile beamed proudly in confirmation, almost fondly, really, that at least the man could learn, and, with that, Shunsui settled contentedly, quietly, undisturbed, behind the counter.
