Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [07/01].

Since it was Wednesday, Apu (or quite possibly not Apu at all and just the store) felt it could really go all out in the spirit of the holiday today, as evidenced by the garlands of red maple leaves strewn all about the store. The Squishy flavors were decidedly thematic, and there were specials on all-dressed chips, ketchup chips, Kraft peanut butter, and Puppers beer, all meticulously presented with the usual egregious displays.

Apu (or, really, likely the store itself) figured Summer would have had a nice rant about stereotypes and so on and so forth, but that Shunsui wouldn't even care (or, really, likely even notice), and he (or it) had been incredibly correct on at least one of those assumptions.

All Shunsui was wondering, in between naps interrupted by the frequent call of loons somewhere inexplicably over by the dairy cooler, was why he had a strange desire to see how sake tasted with a little maple syrup poured in.
