Turtle & Canary; Tuesday [07/07].
So there was definitely a bit of a crisis at the store that day, and Shunsui was forced to actually deal with it, especially since Summer-chan had a class to teach and didn't even give him the opportunity to suggest that she stay and deal with it and he could teach her class. He didn't even know what she was teaching, but it had to be better than dealing with...
...this.
The Squishy machine had gone on the fritz at some point in the night, and it wasn't until that morning that it was actually discovered, which meant that it had somehow been pumping out lemon squishy all over the floor for an indeterminate amount of time, to the point where it had gotten so thick that it was practically two feet deep inside the store and spilling out into the street. How could a machine that size even possess that much Squishy to be continually spilling out with absolutely no sign of stopping? The Squishy machine truly was one of the greatest mysteries of life...
And to make matters worse, it was attracting bees.
So, so many bees.
Luckily, at least there was a resident self-proclaimed Squishy machine expert on the island, although Shunsui was starting to doubt that the more Amaya tinkered around with it to no avail. In her defense, though, it was incredibly difficult working on a piece of machinery when you were knee-deep in lemon Squishhy and surrounded by bees.
"Will you please stop that?" Amaya complained with an irritated grunt as she failed yet again to loosen up one of the machine's bolts, enough to spare a glare toward Shunsui, who had been waving his hat from where he was perched on the counter in an attempt to wave the bees away from them. "You're only going to make them angrier!"
"I'm only trying to help, Movie Class-chan!"
"Well, you're not," she snapped, just as something else in the machine snapped. "You're just--"
She stopped, realizing that the flow of Squishy had finally, suddenly, ceased. She blinked. "Huzzah! Take that, Squishy machine!"
Shunsui also blinked, and then a grin spread across his face. "Movie Class-chan, I could just kis--"
"Please don't."
Especially since, as soon as she said that, the Squishy machine rumbled a little and then started spewing lemon Squishy out at an even more powerful rate.
"AHhhhhhh," Amaya smacked her wrench against the machine, "zards! Back to the drawing board, I guess..."
She sucked in a breath and got back to work, swatting away a few bees, and half ready to give up if it weren't for the fact that she was as stubborn as a mule and would not give up until she fixed it, she drowned in lemon squishy, or she died of bee stings, whichever came first.
"You know, Movie Class-chan," said Shunsui, after a while, after having gotten comfortable lounging on the counter for now and just watching her work and trying to wave bees away with his hat some more, "when this is all over...."
"Not the time, Kyōraku!"
"Right!" said Shunsui. "Right, of course, of course ♥! I'll just...go put out the signs."
Which included one for the outside of the store that read "CAUTION! BEES AND DISTRESS!" which Amaya apparently already had on hand for previous bee-related distresses, and one particularly helpful one that went over the Squishy machine that simply read "OUT OF ORDER."
But having to wade through sticky citrus squishy to do so was one of the few times where Shunsui was starting to see a downside to wearing robes...
Turtle & Canary is....technically open. And covered in bees.

Which was actually slightly more helpful that Shunsui's "Oh, no, Tahani-chan, not your shoes ♥!" from Shusnui on the counter, which was honestly not supposed to sound sarcastic, he really did mean it, but it had been a very long day...
"Also," Amaya added, since she'd apparently missed the sign, "mind the bees."

Of course there are bees, Tahani.

One of which Shunsui was ineffectually trying to shoo away from his face at that moment before realizing that Amaya wasn't likely to be very helpful at the moment, so he supposed the burden rested on his broad shoulders, and his smile at Tahani was mostly apologetic.
"Was there something very important that you needed from the store today, Tahani-chan ♥?" he asked. "Because, as you can see, it is in a bit of a state at the moment, and perhaps it might be something best left to another day? Unless you happen to know of an easy way to be rid of excessive bees and Squishy?"

She had no idea who the manager was or what they would be able to do about it. She just believed in the magical powers of yelling at people in authority until they did something.

That was...unnecessarily loud, Tahani.
