Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [07/08].

On the bright side, the Squishy machine seemed to have finally run out of lemon Squishy and, sometime in the night, appeared to have stopped pumping endless amount of it into the street. It was decidedly dismantled from Movie Class-chan's efforts yesterday, though, with the "OUT OF ORDER" sign still hanging from it like a bad omen. Though the river may have stopped flowing, however, there still remained a lake, and over that lake, the swarms of bees.

And, well...Summer-chan had wanted Shunsui to step up and actually deal with the problem as the owner of the store, hadn't she? And now she was reaping the results of what it meant when Shunsui actually did step up, because he had gone and called together a concentrated effort on the part of the entire staff (all three of them...four if you included the cheese panda, who was being surprisingly helpful, at least around the cheese section) to get in bright and early to divide and conquer and start cleaning the place up, bees and all.

"Okay," Summer groused, once they'd managed to corral all the Squishy inside the store out into the street where it could at least melt instead of staying cold and slushy and deep in the air conditioning of the store, and she was now down on her knees, scrubbing furiously at the baseboards, "where there hell is this coming from?"

To which Shunsui could only smile beatifically at her, from his own spot of scrubbing down the counter, like he knew it was his own participation alone that was preventing Summer from complaining to the point of leaving. "Come now, Summer-chan ♥," he said, "the sooner we finish, the sooner we can go on with our lives, and the more you wish to chat about it, the more this presses into what precious little nap time I'll have left in the day ♥."

Summer narrowed her eyes at Shunsui's back as he resumed cleaning, black at the moment, since he wasn't wearing his white robe or that flowery pink thing he usually wore, and she wasn't sure if it was because he'd lost them like she'd lost almost all her clothes, or if he just wasn't wearing them to avoid getting them sticky from Squishy or whatever, but she supposed it didn't matter. He was actually right; the sooner they did this, the sooner they could get on with their lives, and she supposed she should just be glad he actually was helping, especially since she was always complaining about him never pulling his weight, right? And now he was.

But it was just weird.

What kind of bizarro multi-layer character development bullshit was this, anyway? Whatever. She went back to focusing on scrubbing, because she still had jello she needed to make for her other job tonight.

Turtle & Canary is open! And sticky. And still covered in bees.
